"Poppies in the Valley of Elah" by Ann McCann 16 X 12" Watercolor
This is a painting I did after a visit to a poppy field in the biblical Valley of Elah, where David is said to have slain Goliath. This visit to Israel was before Covid and has since been mown down. We were so disappointed to find it gone this year, mown down for commercial reasons probably. This painting is for sale at the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas.

Bible Hill with Scottish Castle
The poppies were blooming on Bible Hill high above the old city of Jerusalem. My daughter was married at the castle in 2019. I see a painting here!

We saw and heard these loud parrots while drinking at the Agur Winery. These are not escaped pets but wild animals.
Agur Winery Building Among the Flowering Almond Trees
This lovely old building is the view from the winery in Agur, Israel, in the Judean hills outside of Jerusalem. The white/pink almond trees are flowering everywhere.
It is featured on the wine bottle we drank!
