This is a marsh outside of Wellfleet, MA that we often visit for painting. The pathway is under water at high tide as well as your car if you don’t pay attention! The colors of the water, plants and sky are gorgeous and ever changing.
"Cottage Garden" by Ann McCann 9 X 12 Oil
This is a cottage garden I saw last summer in Wellfleet, Cape Cod. I liked the juxtaposition of the old fashion flowers and the vintage fence and buildings. Feels like home to me. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
"Yard Long Roses" by Ann McCann 12 X 36" Oil
The Victorians liked these yard long images of flowers. A lot of people just collect these flower prints. I decided to paint one. Below are closeups of some of the flowers.
"Southwest Gold" by Ann McCann 16 X 20 Oil
This is a fall scene along the Rio Grande in the Taos area. The golds are in the foreground tree and chamisa, across the river and softly reflected in the water.
"Turquoise Door" by Ann McCann 16 X 20 Oil
Surprises can be found on little side streets in Santa Fe. Here was an adobe house with a beautiful turquoise door and trim. With the mountain in the background and flowers in foreground, this captures the magic of the southwest.
"Autumn Clouds on the Marsh" by Ann McCann 16 X 20 Oil
This marsh is in the Yale University Forest in Eastern CT. The autumn reds and yellows in the background and the cloud reflections in the blue water.up front were breathtaking.
"Coneflower Blues" SOLD by Ann McCann 16 X 20 Oil
The A&M College of Dentistry bought 7 of my paintings. This is one of them. Cone flowers and Mexican salvia are colorful companions in my garden.

"High & Low Tides" by Ann McCann 18 X 24 Oils
I thought it would be fun to combine these images as they are at the same place but different times. I really think they look good together. Such dramatic differences at the ocean!
"Low Tide" by Ann McCann 18 X 24 Oil
Here is the companion to “High Tide.” Again, this was the beach we visited daily while we were vacationing in Cape Cod. I was drawn to the reflection of the white fluffy clouds in the small pools for water.
"Alhambra Palace Garden" by Ann McCann in the 2018 Dutch Art Gallery Fall Show
This is the second painting of mine that was selected for the 2018 Dutch Art Gallery Fall Show in Dallas. Pictured is one of the many flower gardens at the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain. The opening and reception is on Saturday, November 3, 2018. The Theme is “Around the World.”
My painting “Seville Oleanders & Palms” was selected for the Fall Show of the Dutch Art Gallery in Dallas. The theme is “around the world” which is great for me as many of my paintings are from European trips. This scene is a city park in Seville where the flowering oleanders are as big as trees. The opening is Saturday, November 3, 2018.
